Pomeranian Dogs in Baskets

Daisy The Pomeranian Dog In A Basket

Pomeranian's will usually bond to just one person in your family.  You will know who that one special person is because your Pomeranian will not take their eyes off them and they will follow this lucky person that they have bonded to everywhere that they go.  You can forget about the privacy that you once were familiar with.  You will never again be able to get up and go to the bathroom without a chaperon.  It is kind of like having a kid or even a husband :-)

Your new Pom will even watch from a distance constantly keeping tabs on the whereabouts of that one special person.  My awesome and amazing dog Daisy hides under the couch most of the day unless I get up from my chair to move and then shes out from under that couch like lightening.  She will do a cute little stretch thing with her tiny little Pomeranian feet and then follow me from one room to the next and will not return to her tiny dog cave under the couch until she is positive that I wont be moving again for at least a little while.

Daisy loves to be included in everything that our family does including all the boring stuff too such as daily errands, exercise, or even just a ride in the car to get water.

To make sure that Daisy lives the longest life she possible can, stays healthy, and in good shape my husband and I always take her with us on our nightly walk but, there are also many times that we just spoil her with a ride in the bike basket.  We have it set up with a little blanket and even colorful lights that light up the basket.  Every person that we pass is either laughing, gasping, or saying awwww.

Daisy is very happy riding down the street in her little basket with the sea air breezing through her fur. If we take a little break to sit down and take in the scenery we will remove the basket from the bike (it has a snap on and off feature making it easy) and set it next to us but she won't get out of the basket which is so funny.  She just sits there waiting and watching everything that is going on making sure that she is in her basket and ready to go when we are.

She Wants To Stay In The Basket

Dog with a Blog

Daisy is my 8 year old 4 pound bundle of fur.  She is just the cutest Pomeranian dog with a blog.  We decided to make a blog for her as a way for her to keep up with all the fun friends that she meets.

How Daisy came to be...My husband and I were at the dog park with our two black labs enjoying them running and playing.  I sat down on a bench to take a break and the cutest thing I have ever seen just starting running right for me.

I couldn't believe how sweet this tiny little dog was.  I was instantly in love with this thing.  I never felt so much love coming from a dog.  The owner walked over and I asked her what kind of dog is this?  She says its a Pomeranian and from that moment on I had to have my own little Pomeranian one day.

After we lost our two labs one to diabetes and the other because the cable guy left the gate open when he departed on Christmas Eve we decided to get another dog.  I was on a mission to find one just like I saw in the park and we got so lucky because we found an amazing breeder who knew what she was doing.  She gave us a little education on our new dog letting us know that she was a fine show dog quality coming from the Spitz lineage and asked us if we wanted her papers.  I had no idea what the papers were about and it wasn't a concern to me.  Not sure why I didn't take them, I think maybe she had to complete them and I was more concerned about loving the dog rather than showing the dog.

Its now 8 years later and Daisy has become pretty popular with just about everyone that she meets.  She is a very social dog and she loves people of all ages.  She is great with kids and even babies.

Daisy is my 4 pound 8 year old Pomeranian she was so worried about me when I walked into the store.

Daisy does not like it when she can't see me.  This is Daisy in the above picture watching and waiting for me to come back.  She is completely freaked out that I am not in her view right now.  I got what I needed and we hit the road.  We were on our way to Oceanside Pier for our nightly walk.  We took a nice long walk on the half mile pier and made a few new friends.

Daisy The Pomeranian Loves Kids

If you are researching what type of dog to bring into your family you might want to consider a Pomeranian.  Daisy The Pomeranian is very well mannered with all kinds of people as well as children.  This is our grandson Hayden.  He is almost 6 years old now.  He grew up with Daisy and 3 other Pomeranians that ran all over the house.  We never had any issues with the dogs bothering him when he was a baby.  They would all love him and cuddle up with him in a blanket.  Some Pomeranians dont like it when you pick them up.  Most likely because they are afraid of being dropped.  Just make sure that you show them they are secure and that you have control and will not drop them.

Daisy has complete trust for us and also for Hayden.  She knows that he is in a safe secure place and that there is no danger of being dropped so she can relax in his arms.  She is going limp in his arms right now and we are laughing and taking pictures of course.   Hayden loves to HAM it up with his little buddy Daisy.
